Despite poor weather conditions, registered Democrats in
Arlington held a caucus Saturday, Feb. 5, to elect delegates to
the 2011 Massachusetts Democratic Convention.
Elected as
delegates were Sidi Belkziz, Lynn Bishop, Francis Callahan, Stuart
Cleinman, Daniel Collins, Maureen Crewe, Mary Cummings, Ronald
Feldman, Heather Fowles, Camilla Haase, William Hayner, Gwenyth
Hooper, Brigid Kennedy-Pfister, Rosina-Maria Lucibello,
Marie-Elena Moloney, Pearl Morrison, Lisa Pedulla, Paul
Schlichtman, Maura Shannon, Susan Stamps, Cindy Starks, Mark
Streitfeld, Patrick Sullivan, Jennifer Thacker, Teresa Walsh, and
Barbara Weniger.
Aimee Coolidge, chair of the Arlington Democratic Town
Committee, will serve as an ex officio delegate. Also serving as
ex officio delegates from Arlington are Deborah Sirotkin Butler
and Patricia Deal, Democratic State Committee Women; Sean
Garballey, state representative; and Kenneth Donnelly, state
senator.
The convention will be held on Saturday, June 4,
at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell. Democrats from across the state
will gather to vote on an action agenda and participate in
training on party building, electoral techniques and issue-based
organizing.
